Here to support you.

There’s no lack of opinions and advice when you’re pregnant, and once the baby arrives, everyone wants to know about the baby, but what about the mother? Often, our Newborn Mothers are left to navigate the fourth trimester alone.  The lack of sleep, the hormonal rollercoaster, the overwhelming feelings that come with all this adjustment, not to mention the process of recovery after birth.  It’s a lot.

The good news is, you don’t have to do it alone.  Postpartum Doulas, like myself, are here to help you with the adjustment, with the recovery from birth, helping you get extra rest and nourishment. Listening to you, to your worries, your fears, your joy, your experience.  Supporting you to thrive as you transition into motherhood, or motherhood again.

Taking care of your postpartum self is just as important as taking care of your pregnant self.  You are worth the investment; you are worth the support.  Postpartum is hard, but it can also be beautiful and joyful.

It’s a privilege for me to be in your home, to support you in any way you need. My mission is to help you find peace and joy during your fourth trimester, however that looks for you.

Postpartum Doula Care

The days and weeks after birth can be challenging and confronting, at the same time as being a beautiful hazy newborn bubble.  Whether this is your transition to motherhood, or motherhood again, it’s an all-consuming time in your life.

I believe with my whole heart, that holding space for women as they go through this transition has a lasting impact not only on Mama & baby, but the whole family, your community and the ripple effect makes its way into our society.

What I do for each family will look different as I work to ensure you feel physically and emotionally nurtured, nourished and rested so you can bond with your new baby.  We’ll talk about how you’re really feeling, what you need and how I can support you.  One day you might need fresh sheets, a shower, delicious lunch prepared and a restful sleep, another day you may need a foot soak while debriefing the experience so far and dinner prepared for the evening ahead.

Whatever it is, I am here to help you.

Doula for a day

Doula for a day is a 3 hour visit to your home, where I will support you in whatever you need at this time.  To prepare for our day, I’ll check in with you and we’ll discuss what will serve you best. I can bring nourishing healing food, baby wear while doing light housework, give you an opportunity to catch up on sleep or have time alone. I can teach you self-massage and baby massage, practice gentle yoga to release your spine after hours carrying your little one. Whatever you need, the day is yours.

I’ll be available by text or voice memo for the next week in case you have any questions or need a little support.

This is a wonderful option for a gift that will really support your loved one during postpartum.
